Chloe Stearman
This project is an accumulation of my experiences both from real life and the media that have resulted in my desire to represent impact. More explicitly, this impact is directly related to our connection to the world, people, and the environment. “X” is indicative of each spark of colour, and each spark represents a plot, a coordinate, and an impact on the world. These sparks of colour are visual records of impact where I have been, and where many others have walked, talked, and existed. On a personal level, I made this work to process my feelings towards my own impact, and more recently with the severe effects of the pandemic and other topical events, I felt that it was important to depict both the negative and positive repercussions of our impact.
