Shauna King

Shauna King’s practice is inspired by her local environment as well as environmental concerns, for example deforestation. King’s work often incorporates the use of organic material with the man-made or artificial to look at nature from a different perspective. The natural material is ephemeral as it will change and deteriorate over time whereas the artificial and man-made will last a lot longer highlighting the delicate balance between humans and our impact on the natural world.

In this past year King has been exploring photography within her practice where she places a distorted mirror within nature and captures the warped reflection.
